Construction Update March 8th, 2009!
More pond work has gotten done this week with liners and more work on the splash area. Lots of trees and security fencing has gone up over the last week. The station house and tank are have gotten some paint and lots of other theme work getting done around Manta.

Construction Update March 19th, 2009!
Lots more pond work has been done over the last few weeks. The splash effect looks to be installed and the entrance/waterfall is coming along with stucco work. Lots of landscape work has been done and a lot more trees have been added around the ride. Manta has begun testing.

Construction Update March 26th, 2009!
Hurray for testing as I was lucky enough to catch a couple of test runs on my visit today. Tons of landscape work has been done around the front half of the ride. The pond has received its concrete bottom. The ride is very quite, seems to have a good pace and looks like a lot of fun.

Construction Update April 9th, 2009!
Testing, testing, testing was the order in the afternoon with 3 train continuous operation.  Tons of landscape work and theme has been done to pond area and buildings. The front half of the ride the landscape work is complete. Take a look at the new front car graphics. Photos and Video below.

Construction Update April 23rd, 2009!
No testing today however tons of work has gotten done in the last week. A big Manta was installed in the entrance to the ride. Lots of trees and other landscape work getting done, and looks like the ponds about ready for water. The ride and area is really looking amazing.

Construction Update May 5th, 2009!
Well after 14 months, countless trips to the park to document the construction of Manta it was time to see behind the construction walls and catch a preview ride on Manta. I was able to get 10 rides on a soft opening day.  So that raps up the Construction Photo Updates of Manta.

Construction Update May 21st, 2009!
Media Day has finally arrived. The day before the official opening I was invited out to do a video on Manta as I attended as a working Media. The ride area looks amazing and the fish tanks are incredible. It was a rainy day so did some indoor photos of some of the fish tanks.

Final Photo Update of Manta Construction May 27th, 2009!
The rides grand opening was just a few days ago with its official opening on May 22nd, 2009. After 14 months of construction a total of 50 million dollars its time to take a look around Manta and see what all there is to see.  It has been an amazing experience to be able to go and watch Manta get built over the last year and half. Below are lots of photos of Manta from various angles from around the park, the incredible landscape work and various buildings associated with the ride.
