Today the American Coaster Enthusiasts held an event at Sea World in Orlando, Florida to gather as a club to ride roller coasters and enjoy a great park. I arrived at 7:30 am for check in and received my registration package. A short great from our regional rep and into the park we headed. The morning would begin with an hour of exclusive ride time on Mako an amazing hyper style roller coaster built by B&M. During our ride time there was some time set up to get a closer look at Mako and Kraken another roller coaster in the parks line up. A short walk into a backstage area for a few photos of the coasters. This mornings ride conditions were foggy making for a unique ridding experience with parts of the ride obscured by the fog. During our ride time and for an hour after ward we could re ride Mako as much as we wanted, changing seats and enjoying the ride. I ended the ride session with over 20 rides on Mako. After the morning ride session we had some free time to explore the park and several other roller coasters. I headed to Kraken where we were allowed to re ride the ride 8 times in a row riding in all the various rows of the train. I then headed over to Manta a cool flying roller coaster for a ride and to the back of the park for a ride on Shamu a fun kiddie coaster. Time for lunch at noon and a visit with some of the parks engineers for a Q&A. Always great to talk with them and here some cool insight into ride design. Overall that was the highlights of the event, had a great time riding and had a great day. Many thanks to the American Coaster Enthusiasts for another fantastic event and Sea World for hosting the event.
