Six Flags, Knotts and More
 Las Angeles, California
June 16th - 21st, 2002
Event Details
The annual Coaster Convention 25 was held this time in Southern California. This event was hosted by Six Flags Magic Mountain, Adventure City and Knottsberry Farms. We received discounts for souvenirs, were feed most days. Along with tons of exclusive ride time on all the great coasters at all the parks. The American Coaster Enthusiasts presented an award to Six Flags Magic Mountain to acknowledged the Revolution roller coaster for its historical value. Revolution being the first looping roller coaster and star of the movie Roller Coaster. The movie was shown as a special feature for our club. The other special event was the main actor Timothy Bottoms along with most of the production team {writers, music, filming} were on hand to talk with the group. Next was a quick day trip over to Adventure City a small family style park and then to Knottsberry Farms for the remainder of the event. Lots of ride times on all the roller coasters during the morning and night. We received a large buffet lunch of Knotts's famous chicken and ribs with all the sides. Unfortunately the new roller coaster addition Xcelerater a launched roller coaster was due to open the following week so we did not get to ride. Lots of photos below of some of the rides and roller coasters from the two main parks that hosted the Coaster Con event in Southern California. Many thanks to ACE , Six Flags Magic Mountain, Adventure City and Knottsberry Farms for a fantastic week of roller coasters and fun.
