Today I had the opportunity to attend the Media Event for the new Batman the Ride Backward at Six Flags Over Georgia located outside Atlanta, Georgia. I arrived for a 10:30 am check in for the event to pick up my registration information. Awesome badge and a Batman T-shirt were handed out along with a lens cloth to keep the camera lens clean. Time for the first official ride of the day as the parks General Manager made the announcement of the converted ride. Batman is an inverted roller coaster built by B&M. However Six Flags had some special trains created so that the ride can run backward or at least the seats face the opposite of what would be normal. The ride is such a difference and the feelings of going backward really change the ride. Its an awesome experience and can be a little disorientating. I was able to get around 10 rides on the ride including a front seat or is it the back seat. After the rides and filming had been completed it was time for some lunch provided by the park. Despite the rain overall it was a lot of fun to get a preview of the ride and always a blast to get some rides. Below are a few pictures from the media event showing the ride and the backward train. Thanks to Six Flags Over Georgia for the invite to get a preview of the new Batman the Ride Backward.
