Event Details
Time once again for the annual Spring Fling event at Six Flags Over Georgia hosted by the Southeast region of the American Coaster Enthusiast with this year being the 10th Anniversary of the event. The event began with a 8:00 am check in and pick up of my registration package. I started the morning with a ride on the Georgia Scorcher a B&M stand up coaster. I then headed for Goliath were I would spend my 1 1/2 hours of Exclusive Ride Time riding 22 times during the morning ERT session. The club gathered for lunch which consisted of catered Country Fried Steak and mashed potatoes. During lunch there was a raffle to win a behind the scene tour at the park. I did not win but somebody won twice and gave a ticket to me. Very cool indeed, so I got to go on the tour again. Got some great photos of some of the roller coasters. We later meet as a group for a short Q and A with the park president and some cool videos put together by the park. Then it was time for another ERT session. Again my ride was Goliath, with another 1 1/2 hour of ERT in which I rode another 23 times. Total rides for ERT was 45 with continuous re rides in the same train during both sessions. Below are various photos from around the park. This year I was able to ride Dare Devil Dive and get some great photos of it for the collections. Also below are some photos of Mindbender, Great American Scream Machine, Cyclone, Goliath and Superman. It was a fantastic event with low attendance, lots of re rides and got some great photos, overall a great event.
