Event Details

The annual coaster convention this time in Southern California. This event was hosted by Six Flags Magic Mountain, Adventure City and Knottsberry Farms. We received discounts for souvenirs and were feed most days. Tons of Exclusive Ride Time on all the great coasters. American Coaster Enthusiast presented an award to Six Flags Magic Mountain to acknowledged the Revolution roller coaster for its historical value. Revolution being the first looping roller coaster and star of the movie Roller Coaster. The movie was shown special feature for our club. The other special event was the main actor Timothy Bottoms along with most of the production team {writers, music, filming}.
Next was a quick day trip over to Adventure City and then to Knottsberry Farms for the remainder of the event. Lots of ERT on the coasters morning and late night. We received a large buffet lunch of Knotts's famous chicken and ribs with all the sides. Unfortunately the new coaster addition to the park Xcelerater a rocket coaster was due to open the following week so only go to see it run. Lots of photos below of some of the rides and roller coasters from the two main parks that hosted the Coaster Con event out in Southern California. Many thanks to ACE , Six Flags Magic Mountain and Knottsberry Farms for a fantastic week.
