As part of the Coaster Quest event held by CoasterFusion at Kings Island we got a behind the scene tour of the Beast roller coaster. This year as part of a charity event for cancer the park offered a tour of the Beast roller coaster with proceeds from the tour to go to the charity. Our tour started off with a meet at 3:00 pm at the Beast entrance area. We then entered the fenced in area and were off on our journey to see the Beast. We past by the station which is really awesome looking and then to the first lift and drop. Close up views of the tunnel and the first drop. During our tour Don Helbig the Public Relation Manager of Kings Island discussed lots of details of how the Beast was created and would answer any questions we had. The cool thing is Don is also a big time coaster enthusiasts so he had a great interest in the ride and his knowledge of the ride was incredible. As we continued our walk over a lot of the ground that the Beast is spread out over we would come to different sections of tunnels, track ways or hills and turns. It was a really amazing experience to see that train just whizzing by you. Back up the hill to the second lift area and the final helix area. We got to walk down in to the large helix area and watch a few trains go by. Then it was back up to the station and the tour was at its end. It was an amazing experience to get an up close look at this incredible coaster. Below you find lots of various photos of various parts of the Beast Roller Coaster.
