Time once again for the annual International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions trade show and convention. More then 1000 businesses and companies involved in the amusement industry were at the show this year to sell and talk business. Since my main interest is roller coasters below are just some of the things on display at some of the various booths. I have a couple various photos of GCI and GGI trains and some close ups of a S&S Power air launched trains. Had a chance to meet several coaster designers and business owners. Most notable this year was meeting Alan Schilke, former designer for Arrow coaster and now involved in the rebuild of the Texas Giant. They have developed a steel replacement for wooden coaster track. Also had a fun time with the guys that designed the Pipeline Coaster. One other cool note is a design of a new type of 4D coaster train with unlimited flipping and controlled rolling. Overall it was a great show with lots of various cool things to do and see. Cant wait tell next year for another IAAPA Trade Show.
