Today I was invited to Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida to attend a Hard Hat Construction Tour of their new roller coaster Cobras Curse. I arrived for an 8:00 am check in and headed for the opening display. A few details about the ride and what its all about and we headed for the car on display. The roller coaster is a Mack spinning ride with an elevator lift hill. A forward facing section, a reverse facing section and the final section of the ride will be a free spinning experience. They have one of the Cobra Curse cars on display at the park and was able to get some cool views of the car and the mechanical aspects of the car. We then headed over to see some cool story boards with Brian Morrow telling all about the idea behind the ride. Next up was Mark Ross with some more details about the ride. Then it was time to venture into the construction work site for a real good look at the ride. Tons of photos were taken by all, with lots of questions to park employees along the way. It was an awesome experience being able to get a close up look at the ride and the work site. Big thanks to Busch Gardens for the invite to attend the event.
