Bye-Bye Python
Busch Gardens Florida
Tampa, Florida

Event Details
As part of a major renovation of the Congo area of the park, Busch Gardens has decided to remove one of  its roller coasters. After 30 years of riding pleasure it is time to bid farewell to the Python roller coaster. The Python an Arrow built corkscrew roller coaster opened in July of 1976 with a height of 72 feet and length of 1200 feet featuring a double corkscrew. Time has come for the park to upgrade the Congo area where the ride was located so it was time for the Python to meet the wrecking ball. Its last day of operation was October 31st, 2006. Below are some photos of the Python while in operation taken earlier this year and below those are several sets of demolition photos of Python.
